M M Trading Centre began its journey in 2013. Initially, the company imported reconditioned vehicles from Japan and later expanded to importing frozen fish from various countries. Through the legal and authorized import of products, the company quickly established a strong position in the market.

Launched with personal capital and a limited amount of bank financing, the venture soon earned a reputation as a trusted name in the industry—thanks to its honesty, safe business practices, and emphasis on customer satisfaction.

By 2014, after careful market evaluation, the company decided to focus exclusively on the frozen fish trade due to its growing demand and consistent positive feedback. From 2014 to 2019, MM Trading Centre, under the leadership of its Managing Director and a loyal team, experienced sustainable growth and remarkable profitability.

However, in 2019, a deeper spiritual reflection led to an important realization — some financial practices, especially interest-based bank loans, did not align with Islamic principles. Determined to rectify this, the company repaid all bank loans and aimed to shift entirely toward a halal financial model.

On March 17, 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic caused severe disruption, with several shipments stuck at sea. The business suffered heavy losses and ultimately had to shut down. This was a deeply challenging time for the Managing Director and the entire team.

But through the mercy of Allah (SWT), a new door opened. With support from trusted friends and relatives, the Managing Director raised capital through Mudaraba — a Shariah-compliant, interest-free profit-sharing method. Thus, the company was revived with a new vision under a new name — Halal Investment Bangladesh.

Today, MM Trading Centre operates under this ethical, Islamic structure. It handles all import and export operations funded by halal investment capital, ensuring every aspect of its business aligns with Shariah principles.
